Ship your automobile at least four weeks before you completely re-locate from the current place. Do not keep your personal belongings in your car. In case you need to keep some essentials tie them securely on to the vehicle. Do not fill in too much gas into your car while transporting your car. Other than the possibility of a leakage, this can also considerably increase the weight of the shipment.

Always get a condition report document from the car mover. The current condition of the car should be detailed along with the photographs of the car. Once the car is delivered, this report will be useful for checking the current condition of the car including new damages, and mileage changes etc. Lastly it is very important to insure your car against potential damages and thefts. Check how your current insurance complies with the Mover's insurance of the vehicle.
