Before One or Two Weeks

• Confirm with your moving company again. Update them about the current situation.

• Confirm your travel arrangements again.

• Get in touch with the utility services of your area which include magazine/newspaper subscriptions, telephone, cable services, electricity, water, gas services etc.

• Get all your clothes washed and ready for packing.

• Defrost your refrigerator, and clean and dry your washing machine after the wash.

• Arrange for extra help on your moving day. Inform your relatives and close friends if you need help.

• Transfer the bank account to the new bank. Make sure you process all the outstanding payments and checks.

• Remove the valuables from your safe-deposit boxes and make arrangements for a safe transit of the same.

• Make copies of all the legal documents which you might need to refer to or submit in the current and new places.

• Plan ahead for a safe transit for your pets; get your pets vaccinated if necessary.

• Give a detailed account of your travel route to your closest friend or relative.
